As I turn 30 this year, I reflect on all the ways we self-impose ageist beliefs and behaviors. Every day acts of ageism aren’t limited to calling someone an old geezer. They’re subtle backhanded compliments like “you look great for your age” or saying someone is “too old” for an activity. But, these limiting ideas of getting older are far from reality.
