Your number one favorite for the month of August was this Open Edit boatneck sweater. Our team member Denise scooped it up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and couldn’t believe the quality for the price…$65. It is slightly cropped, but still long enough to front-tuck into your pants or jeans. It’s also lightweight so this would be a great transitional piece for fall. Doesn’t she look amazing in it?
Comfy & On-Trend
If these loafers look familiar, that’s because they were a best seller in July too. If you’re looking for a pair of closed-toe flats but don’t want to go with traditional ballet flats or trendy sneakers…consider trying loafers! These Dolce Vita loafers are super lightweight, cool, and VERY comfortable. They would also make a great pair of work shoes. They run a little big so I would order a half size down from your normal size so your heel doesn’t slip out of the back when you walk.
This is one of my new favorite sweaters, so I’m happy you all love it as much as I do! This gray AllSaints sweater has an edgy, cool raw hem that makes it one of those basics-with-a-twist I’m always talking about. I like the casual look of the roomier fit and it looks great half-tucked or untucked. It’s also very soft! The online description says it’s 100% polyester but the tag on the sweater says it’s 95% cashmere and I think it feels even better than last year’s version of the sweater.
I’ve been wearing these chunky, flared-heel Dolce Vita platform sandals more than I thought I would. Even though they are 4” heels, they’re incredibly comfortable due to the 1” platform. At 5’4”, I like wearing these with longer jeans. They’ll make your legs look a mile long! The stretchy twisted straps comfortably hug your foot for a perfect fit without being too tight OR too loose.
This wrap-front Free People bodysuit is super slimming on SO many body shapes. The fabric is lightweight, doesn’t wrinkle, and is very silky on the skin. It comes in 11 different colors. I own both the black and the color called Blossom Pearl which is a pinky nude shade. It’s very lightweight so you can wear this in all seasons. It looks great styled alone with a pair of jeans, or you can layer it under a blazer, coat, or jacket. Such a great wardrobe staple at only $68.
We featured this polished pencil skirt in the 12 Black Skirt Outfit Ideas post linked above. It’s such a great basic! It’s a pull-on style made from a jersey fabric and is wrinkle-resistant which is always a bonus. It’s midi-length making it great for the office dressed up with a pair of heels or flats, but you can also style it with a moto jacket and sneakers.
