Gunfire has been heard inside a major shopping centre in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, according to officials.

Police said they were on their way to Siam Paragon mall while local media reported that shoppers fled the scene in the centre of Bangkok on Tuesday afternoon.

Multiple videos uploaded to social media showed people running out of the building.

Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin confirmed the incident but said he did not have any information on casualties yet.
